Description

The Origen AE x15e-HD is the latest Generation III case that includes 7 inch Touch Screen that supports HD resolutions up to 1600 x 1200. This is a brand new model and at this time OrigenAE have not updated their website as yet. It also includes an IR receiver and MCE Remote.

The x15e-HD HTPC is a HTPC case from Origen AE and has innovative and revolutionary, breathtaking design featuring a 7 inch TFT touch screen Display Panel which brings a whole new dimension of functionality to your Home Theatre PC. New breakthroughs in video scaling technology allows the 7 inch TFT touch screen to support resolutions right up to 1600 x 1200.

What is the difference between the x15e-TFT and the new x15e-HD HTPC case?
The x15e-HD HTPC Case supports input resolutions up to 1600 x 1200 whereas the x15e-TFT only supports resolutions up to 1024 x 768. Previously, users were not able to display a High Definition image on their TV and run the same image on the 7 inch TFT screen because Microsoft Windows does not support different resolutions in Clone Mode.

You can now operate Windows and Media Centre with a touch of your finger which means you do not have to turn on your TV or projector to play your favorite music, just select your music on the screen with your fingers or PDA pen ( if you don't like finger prints..) and your done. The TFT monitor can be turned off from the front panel when you are watching a movie to avoid distractions.

Like all cases from Origen AE they are built to the higest of standards, there are no computer cases with a aluminuim panel slapped on here! These cases are made of all alloy panels! The front panel is an 8mm thick percesion machined aluminium and the sides are 3.5 mm thick. The top and bottom are also alumunium to help with Weight reduction, noise reduction, electrical interference reduction and to get the heat out of your case faster which are all extremely important to HTPC builders that know what they are doing.

The x15e-HD Case is available in Silver and Black and comes with TFT touch screen, software and specially designed rubber noise reduction grommets for mounting the fan and Hard drives to reduce noise transmittion into the case to help keep your HTPC even quieter.

The Origen AE x15e-HD ships with a Philips MCE IR Remote Control and built-in IR receiver. This remote functions almost identically as the Microsoft IR Remote while the IR receiver supports the Microsoft Remote Keyboard.
